House of Music
The idea to build the House of Music came up within the planning of Porto 2001 – European Capital of Culture. It is an outstanding polyhedron-shaped construction, specifically built by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, situated by the Rotunda da Boavista (Boavista roundabout), between the city centre/historical centre and the business area of Boavista, as well as Foz.
These plural facilities are equipped with the necessary infrastructures and technical and acoustic means to enable the production and the presentation of different music performances and other events.
